Oil on Canvas · Hawaii
When it moves through my eyes.
From Uruguay, somewhere in the middle, now Hawaii.
Twenty years of painting the light that moves through water, sky, and earth.
Seascapes and coastal light from the Big Island. Horizontal rhythms, dissolving suns, water in perpetual becoming. A meditation on what endures.
The earth as witness. Ancient formations, deep pressures, the gaze of a landscape that has seen everything and forgets nothing.
I am a self-taught painter, originally from Uruguay, now living on the Big Island of Hawaii. The ocean has always been my subject — not the ocean as postcard, but the ocean as presence. The light that arrives before the sun. The silence after a wave.
I work in oil on canvas, building surfaces over time, mixing warm and cool in the way coastal light actually moves. My paintings take months. Some take years. I am not in a hurry.
My work is represented by Tiffany's Art Agency and is displayed at Mauna Lani Auberge, one of the world's most distinguished luxury resorts.
